This article is about relationships between UK and the US which were damaged by American mistreatment of detainees. A Pakistani citizen, Yunus Rahmatullah, who claims he was tortured by British and American troops sued for damages in court. But Tom Pickering said that in spite of this fact there are no damage for UK and the US relationships because public has already known about that. The main idea of the article is that court should achieve the justice.
I think there should be justice and Yunus Rahmatullah should get what he wanted. But also there should be no harm to US-UK ties because they are good allies and depend on each other.

I think that cruel treatment of detainees should be punished, because people should be aware of human rights and the presumption of innocence. Such severe torture mustn't be applied to unproven guilt. Tortures should not be used at all. People should respect each other and their rights
